We are off to a great third year of Girl Scouting!
We initially began as Brownie Troop 6037 from Takoma Park, MD however this year we re-located to Washington, DC and will be a Daisy and Junior troop. We are having fun as the third year of Girl Scouting has continued the solidification of our bonds of friendship and sisterhood. Our bi-weekly meetings serve as the foundation with our monthly activities adding excitement to these budding relationships. Stay tuned as our year is revealed via photos on this website.
Welcome!, We are Girl Scout Troop 1782 the pride of Capital Hill!
We are a Multi-level (Daisy and Junior) Girl Scout troop that consists of 1st and 4th graders. We are currently accepting a limited number of girls within these grades that are interested in exploring the many opportunities that Girl Scouting has to offer. Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities to develop important life-skills. In a recent national research study girls responded that because of their Girl Scout activities they have the chance to develop nine important characteristics, including:
*Self Reliance
*Self-Competence
*Social Skills (ability to make friends)
*Respect for Others
*Feelings of Belonging
*Values-clarification and Decision-making
*Helpfulness and Concern for Community
*Teamwork
*Leadership
All girls are invited to join Girl Scouting --- including girls with special needs, girls of every race, religion and socioeconomic background. What are you waiting for...don't miss another moment of the fun.
